In 2020, we will be selling Cohort Tickets ONLY -- the Cohort TIcket is for 1-6 individuals. 

We are not selling individual or partial cohort tickets. Groups larger than 6 (7 or more) must purchase the number of Cohort Tickets commensurate with their group size. 

All Cohort Tickets are for a group of 1-6 individuals and must be PURCHASED IN ADVANCE ONLINE. Please follow the 'Purchase Tickets' link above. 

  • The price for Friday & Saturday nights is $250 in advance; $275 day-of.

  • The price for Sunday nights is $220 in advance; $250 day-of. 

  • Groups of 7 or more must purchase an additional Cohort Ticket.

  • Cohorts will be admitted at their ticket time, and spacing between groups will be enforced on the trail – NO WAITING

  • Once a Cohort completes their trail hike, they will be guided to the parking area to exit the property. (RETURNS TO FRONT CIRCLE WILL NOT BE PERMITTED.)  



Each Cohort Pass is for UP TO 6 family members or friends that are in the same pandemic “bubble”.

  • Cohorts are people who are NOT practicing social distancing from one another. 

  • Cohorts will receive TIMED ACCESS to MHF’s Year of COVID Hybrid Trail.

  • Cohort agree to follow distancing guidelines to stay spaced apart from others while in our parking lot, queue lines, waiting areas, and trail.

  • Cohorts agree to arrive 30 minutes BEFORE the reserved time slot.


2020 Year of COVID Hybrid Trail

  • During normal years, The Markoff’s Haunted Forest has 2 Trails (and another haunt attraction called The Town). 

  • For MHF regulars, the hybrid trail can be a fun change of pace! 

  • Slightly longer walk

  • “Best Of” presentation of elements from Trails 1 & 2

  • Variety of startle scares and bone chilling visuals along the path

  • Surprise encounters with our scariest trail ghouls as you walk through about 70% of each trail.

  • The Town will not be open this year.

  • We suggest arriving 30 minutes before your ticketed trail times of either 7:00, 8:00, 9:00, or 10:00

  • Cohorts must wait in their cars until your time stamp is allowed to go down to the Front Circle waiting area. This is usually 15 minutes prior to your purchased time stamp and when we are ready for your time we will notify the parking lot at the “Big Skull”


  • A representative from your Cohort Group must have their barcode out (printed or on phone) so that they can be scanned and receive the Cohort tickets for entering the Front Circle waiting area.


  • Cohorts will not be allowed into the waiting area and therefore the trail if arriving 15 minutes past their purchased time stamp. You have 30 minutes to get in! For Example: If you have an 8:00 Ticket, you can have your ticket scanned to get into the Haunted Forest between 7:45 & 8:15.


  • Cohorts will be given a ticket with a number on it.  The number on your tickets will be called, and your cohort must go and wait at the entrance of the Forest to enter Trail. There your group will be socially distanced and are responsible for keeping distanced from other Cohorts behind or in front.


  • Once your Cohort group has finished walking the Trail, you’ll be guided straight out to the parking lot to depart the property. Returns to the Front Circle are NOT PERMITTED this year.

  • Parking Entrance closes at 10:30pm

  • PERILOUS PIZZA reservations starting at 5pm – Please allow 90 minutes for your pizza dinner so that you are not late for your Trail Time!

Due to COVID-19 related restrictions, we are not able to accommodate large group reservations on the weekends (our scheduled open dates).

Private Bookings dates may become available (on week nights ONLY) for companies or other large groups who wish to schedule a unique, private, outdoor, socially distanced team experience. In these cases, your company/group is responsible to adhere to Montgomery County, Maryland, public health guidance for limiting COVID-specific risks. We can structure an experience that includes any of the following elements:

  • Sit-down socially distanced dining (we provide menu options)

  • Access to music and our DJ speaker system

  • Timed entrance for all your peeps to walk through our haunted forest

  • Night hayride

  • Bonfire & s’mores
